Who I help

Nutrition support for this specific stage of life

My work is organized around four main areas:

  • Perimenopause & menopause

Practical nutrition support for the changes that can accompany midlife, with recommendations grounded in current evidence.

  • Body composition & healthy aging

Supporting adequate protein, muscle preservation, metabolic health, and sustainable approaches to body composition through midlife and beyond.

  • GLP-1 nutrition support

Nutrition guidance for people using GLP-1 medications, with a focus on meeting nutrient needs, managing common nutrition challenges, and preserving lean mass.

  • Evidence-based nutrition

Helping you make sense of nutrition research, trends, and misinformation so you can focus on strategies that are useful, realistic, and supported by evidence.

My approach

Nutrition advice should fit your actual life

Midlife nutrition doesn't have to mean chasing the latest trend or adopting an increasingly restrictive diet.

My approach is to translate current nutrition research into guidance that's realistic for your routine, your preferences, and your goals — and to help you feel confident in the choices you're making.

  1. 01

    Evidence-based

Recommendations are grounded in current nutrition science, not trends, influencer advice, or restrictive rules.

  2. 02

    Realistic & sustainable

Guidance is built around your actual routine and preferences, not an idealized version of your life.

  3. 03

    Personalized

Your history, goals, and circumstances shape the plan. There's no single template applied to every client.

About

Lori Townsend, MSc, RD

Registered Dietitian

I'm a Registered Dietitian with a Master of Science in Human Nutrition. My approach is grounded in evidence, but nutrition also needs to work in real life. I'm especially interested in helping women navigate the nutrition questions that often become more complicated during midlife — from changing body composition and muscle maintenance to menopause, metabolic health, and the growing use of GLP-1 medications.

My goal is to help clients understand what matters, filter out what doesn't, and build an approach to nutrition that is practical, sustainable, and individualized.
